Therapy for Kids, Teens & Women in South Carolina

Meet Amy

Hi there! I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in South Carolina, and I provide therapy for children, teens, and women. I help clients navigate anxiety, emotional overwhelm, burnout, perfectionism, people-pleasing, boundary-setting, and the pressure to hold everything together in today’s fast-paced world.

Whether you’re a child or teen struggling with big emotions, school stress, confidence, or friendships, or an adult woman juggling work, parenting, relationships, and major life decisions, therapy with me offers a safe and supportive space to slow down, make sense of what’s happening, and find steadier ways to cope.

With a background as a school counselor, I bring a deep understanding of the academic, social, and emotional pressures children and adolescents face today. As a mother, I also understand firsthand the mental load many women carry and how challenging it can be to balance parenting, work, relationships, and personal well-being. This perspective allows me to offer therapy that is compassionate, practical, and grounded in real life.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, jogging, reading, gardening, birding, spending time at the beach, and traveling.

Whether you or your child are navigating everyday stress, big emotions, past experiences, or major life transitions, my goal is to help you feel more supported, grounded, and confident in daily life. Together, we focus on building skills, insight, and self-understanding in ways that feel practical and manageable.

What Therapy Looks Like

Therapy with me is calm, supportive, and grounded in evidence-based care. Sessions are tailored to each client’s age, needs, and stage of life, whether I’m working with a child or teen navigating school, friendships, and big emotions, or an adult managing anxiety, overwhelm, and major life decisions. My approach is thoughtful, practical, and focused on tools that can be used outside the therapy room.

In sessions, we work on:

  • Understanding the patterns behind anxiety, low mood, or big emotions

  • Learning how to calm the nervous system and reduce overwhelm

  • Building coping strategies that help in real-life situations

  • Increasing emotional awareness, flexibility, and self-compassion

  • Reducing overfunctioning, people-pleasing, and mental load when relevant

  • Strengthening boundaries, confidence, and self-trust

  • Creating routines and habits that support daily life and personal values

Sessions are 50 minutes and offered weekly or bi-weekly, depending on individual needs and goals.
